Tomoaki Nagao, more commonly known as Nigo, founded Bape or A Bathing Ape in 1993 after studying fashion in college alongside the founder of Undercover Jun Takahashi; he opened his first store “Nowhere” with him in Ura-Harajuku as his first store that sold a limited quantity of his first pieces. According to Nigo, the name “BAPE” is a reference to “A Bathing Ape in Lukewarm Water” - Japanese people typically have daily baths in water at lukewarm temperature
These iconic Bapestas were released as a collaboration between A Bathing Ape and Kaws in 2005. Coming in the light orange’# color way, features signature ‘Sta’ logos on both sides. Constructed of patent leather as seen across many other iconic OG Bapestas, with an embroidery of a Bape head with the Kaws ‘X’ eyes towards the backside of both shoes. These are in brand new condition, but due to aging, has some flaws on the side of the sole and crumbling patent leather. Sole is brand new with 0 wea/heel drag. Comes with original box and extra laces
