This sought after piece is from the Undercover Autumn/Winter 2003 “Paper Doll” collection; this collection reflected upon Takahashi’s interest in paper dress up dolls as different patterns, fabrics, and cuts are used throughout different pieces giving an overall DIY aesthetic to each piece. Not only did the collection derive inspiration from the suits and dresses typically worn by these dolls, but the runway invitations sent out to guests also came in the shape of dolls
This classic pair of denim coming in a dark navy wash features two horizontal zippers on each leg, which are functional compartments situated just above the hem. Two large cargo pockets on the sides of both legs, as well as the back pockets. All hardware buttons features the ‘Undercoverism’ branding with the unique skull.
