After working various fashion houses for 11 years, and in the midst of World War II, participating as a member of the French Army for 5 years, Pierre Balmain founded his own fashion house under his name in 1945. Pierre passed away in 1982 after suffering from liver cancer. Christopher Decarnin reimagined the Balmain style when he became head designer in 2006; he elaborately decorated pieces that differed from the simplicity of Balmain’s original approach. This gorgeous pair of Balmain biker denim was released during the Christophe Decarnin era as part of the Autumn/Winter 2005 collection. Biker-style denim with the padded knee and ribbed panel design. Features two zipper pockets below the front pockets, concealed fly and button fastening. Factory processed distressing throughout with a blowout knee and sashiko style zig-zag repair work heavily throughout the knees and thighs. Classic triple belt loop on the backside.
