Japanese fashion designer Mihara Yasuhiro first made his name in footwear, creating his first line of shoes in 1994 whilst still attending Tama Art University. Praised for the innovative, modernist style of design, Mihara soon translated his vision into his 1997 shoe label "Miharayasuhiro". In 1999, the designer introduced the inaugural Miharayasuhiro clothing collection at Tokyo Fashion week.

This extremely unique sweater is from the Miharayasuhiro Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Features a graphic of the “Emory University” on the front side which is woven precisely, with hand-done distressing throughout the entire piece, as the inner layer of red velvet yarn peaks through the small distressed areas.
