After working various fashion houses for 11 years, and in the midst of World War II, participating as a member of the French Army for 5 years, Pierre Balmain founded his own fashion house under his name in 1945. Pierre passed away in 1982 after suffering from liver cancer. Christopher Decarnin reimagined the Balmain style when he became head designer in 2006; he elaborately decorated pieces that differed from the simplicity of Balmain’s original approach. Today, Balmain remains a powerful presence in the fashion world, under creative director Olivier Rousteing, Balmain has struck a balance between the simplicity of its early days and the flamboyance
This dark navy wash Balmain biker denim was released in early 2000s during the Decarnin era. Biker-style denim with the padded knee and ribbed panel design. Features two zipper pockets below (faux pockets, not actually functional) the front pockets, concealed fly and button fastening. Factory processed distressing throughout. Classic triple belt loop on the backside. In fantastic condition with no major flaws or damages
