Number (N)ine was founded in 1997 by Takahiro Miyashita; the brand holds heavy influence from the American and music scene (grunge, rock, punk) as many of the pieces reflect the style. The Number (N)ine name itself is derived from "Revolution 9," the Beatles song off their seminal self-titled 1968 album

This iconic shirt is from the Spring/Summer 2000 collection “Extra Heavy”, where there were two parts/sides of the collection, where one side was just Number (N)ine pieces and the other side was a collaboration with the iconic Japanese fashion designer Nigo’s brand, “A Bathing Ape” or more commonly known as Bape.
