According to Nigo, the name “BAPE” is a reference to “A Bathing Ape in Lukewarm Water” - Japanese people typically have daily baths in water at lukewarm temperature

This unique shoe is called the Bape Skullstas, the silhouette presents how Nigo took inspiration from the Adidas Superstars. The toe box is in the form of a Ape’s nose with its nostril on it, and the iconic Bapesta logo is featured on the sides of each pair of shoe. This variation was released in 2013 and features a snake skin pattern on the Sta logos (for the year of the snake), which extends to the backside of both shoes. The tongue of the features the Sta logo with indication ‘shoe by human’. In decent condition with some heel drag, but maintains overall good quality for age.
