Tomoaki Nagao, more commonly known as Nigo, founded Bape or A Bathing Ape in 1993 after studying fashion in college alongside the founder of Undercover Jun Takahashi; he opened his first store “Nowhere” with him in Ura-Harajuku as his first store that sold a limited quantity of his first pieces. According to Nigo, the name “BAPE” is a reference to “A Bathing Ape in Lukewarm Water” - Japanese people typically have daily baths in water at lukewarm temperature

This classic Bape knit was released in the early 2000s. Coming in a light blue color way with the ‘Bapeman’ logo inspired from the Superman chest logo. The ‘BA’ stands for ‘Bathing Ape’. In solid condition with no major flaws or damages
